About EFC
EFC is the European operating base for brands based outside the EU. We run their warehousing, fulfilment, customs clearance and compliance inside Europe.
EFC is a Portuguese company, based near Lisbon. Brands from outside the EU run their European operation through us: their stock arrives here, is stored here and ships from here to their customers. We are the part of their business that lives inside the market.
Our team also brings many years of experience developing markets in Europe and the United States.

How we work
How your stock enters Europe and reaches your customers.
We run the base in Portugal together with our logistics partner, Warelog. Your goods enter the EU there and ship to customers across the single market.
Cleared when the goods arrive
In most cases, your goods clear customs when they arrive in Portugal. From then on, each order reaches the customer as a delivery inside the EU, with no customs step on the way.
Warehousing and customs, run with Warelog
We run warehousing and customs with Warelog, a Portuguese customs and logistics operator. Most stock is released for free circulation when it arrives. Duty and import VAT are accounted for at that point, and the goods can then move anywhere in the EU. Higher-value goods that sell in smaller volumes can wait under bond, with duty and import VAT due at each release. The bonded warehouse page explains how.

Where is EFC based, and what is the registered company?
The registered company is EFC LDA, a Portuguese company with its registered seat in Amadora, in the Lisbon district. Operations run from the main base at Av. do Marco da IV Légua 26, 2615-142 Alverca do Ribatejo. The full company and registration details are on the legal pages.
Who runs the warehouse and the customs side?
EFC runs warehousing and customs together with Warelog, a Portuguese customs and logistics operator working since 2005. Stock is held in licensed facilities inside the EU customs union and is usually released for free circulation on arrival. A brand deals with one operation, not a chain of separate cross-border contracts.
What regulatory role does EFC hold?
EFC acts as the European Responsible Person under the General Product Safety Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2023/988, for in-scope consumer products. That role is the EU contact for product safety authorities, and it does not extend to medical devices. EFC can also arrange EU VAT registration and a fiscal representative, a local party that handles a non-EU brand's VAT filings.
