About EFC

EFC is the European operating base for brands based outside the EU. We run their warehousing, fulfilment, customs standing, and compliance inside Europe.

EFC is a Portuguese company, based near Lisbon. Brands that sell into Europe from outside it run their operation through us: their stock lands here, is held here, and ships to their European customers from here. We are the part of their business that lives inside the market.

What drives us

We run European operations for brands that sell here, and we hold ourselves accountable for how they run.

One accountable operator for the whole European side

Selling into Europe from outside it usually means stitching together a warehouse, a customs broker, a tax agent, and a developer, each a separate relationship to manage, each one a place things fall through the gap. EFC grew out of doing that work inside the European market itself, on the logistics and fulfilment side, so a brand deals with one operator instead, accountable for the whole European side of the business.

The brand stays the brand

EFC never takes title to a brand’s goods and never resells them. A brand keeps its products, its customers, its pricing, and its relationship with the market. EFC runs the operation underneath it, drawing on its own experience running fulfilment and logistics inside the European market.

Built on a real, working base

The operation runs on a licensed facility inside the EU customs union. What EFC states about the base is what a brand can go and check.

How we work

Stock lands once inside Europe. Every order after that is a domestic delivery.

The base runs in Portugal, as one layer with the logistics partner Warelog. It is where a brand's goods enter the EU and ship to customers across the single market.

Import once, then deliver domestically

A brand imports into the EU once. From there, every order reaches the customer as a domestic delivery across the single market.

The ground runs with Warelog

Warehousing and customs standing run with Warelog, a Portuguese customs and logistics operator. Stock is held under bond in a licensed facility, with real racking and customs documentation; the mechanism is explained in full on the bonded warehouse page .

Direct contact, start to finish

A brand reaches the people who run its operation directly, from intake through dispatch, and a first message gets a reply within a business day.

About EFC

What brands ask about who EFC is and how it runs.

What is EFC?

EFC, European Fulfillment Centers, is a Portuguese company that acts as the European operating base for brands based outside the EU. It runs their warehousing, fulfilment, customs standing, and compliance inside Europe, from a base in Alverca do Ribatejo, in the Lisbon area, so a brand can sell across the single market without building its own operation on the continent.

Where is EFC based, and what is the registered company?

EFC runs from its main base at Av. do Marco da IV Légua 26, 2615-142 Alverca do Ribatejo, in the Lisbon district of Portugal. It is a Portuguese company; the full company and registration details are on the legal pages.

Who runs the warehouse and the customs side?

The warehousing and customs standing run with Warelog, a Portuguese customs and logistics operator working since 2005. The stock sits in a real, credentialed bonded facility inside the EU customs union, and EFC runs the brand operation on top of it as one coordinated team, so a brand deals with one operation rather than a chain of separate cross-border contracts.

Does EFC buy or resell a brand's products?

No. We never take title to your goods and never resell them. You keep your products, your customers, and your pricing. We run the operation underneath you, as your operator, never as a distributor competing for the same shelf.

What regulatory role can EFC hold?

EFC can act as the European Responsible Person under the General Product Safety Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2023/988, for in-scope consumer products. That is a defined role for consumer goods placed on the EU market, and it does not extend to medical devices. EFC can also arrange EU VAT registration and fiscal representation so a non-EU brand can account for VAT across the single market.

How does a brand start working with EFC?

It starts with a short conversation about what you ship, how much, and where. Write to us and the person who runs this work replies within one business day, and the reply sets out what the operation would look like inside the EU and the next step. From there, we map the intake, storage, compliance, and dispatch as one operation and set it up for you.
